The Windows 10 upgrade was available from Microsoft as a free upgrade for many computers until July 2016.
Computers running assistive technologies continue to be eligible for a free upgrade. For all other users, Microsoft offers Windows 10 upgrade for a fee.
If you installed Windows 10 in Tucson as a part of the free upgrade - or if you purchase a Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade - you may encounter problems. Issues noted include a black or blue screen after installation, apps that must be uninstalled and reinstalled to make the process work, or problems with sound.
We have noted the following problems with Windows 10 upgrade:
Installation failed part way through - cannot go back or forward
Unintended passwords were installed - keeping client from accessing their own data
Incompatible hardware - Windows 10 installed but now my printer doesn't work
Incompatible software - I installed Windows 10 but now my other programs don't work right.
